Jimmy Ivan Leon, was born in Ecuador and grew up in New York City. He has lived in Houston most of his adult life because he “Loves the Big Texas Sky”. He is Vice President of Kaya Trading Company, specializing in Petroleum and was a candidate for the University of Kentucky, Patterson Graduate School of Diplomacy and International Commerce. On his mother's side, his related to a Past Argentinian Ambassador to Ecuador. Jimmy has received many Honors: Honorary Doctorate in Theology, Member of Masonic Holland Lodge #1, Parent of a Chi Omega and Pi Kappa Alpha fraternities, Rotary Bequest Society Member and Paul Harris Fellow, American Legion Post Chaplain Emeritus and Current Post Training Officer, Commended by Texas Governor and many Combat Veterans for his Veteran Advocacy. He is also a Founding Sponsor of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial in Washington D.C.

Jim is a 3rd generation Rotarian and was introduced to Rotary as a child. A Rotarian since 2013, he served as President of Hermann Park Rotary Club in 2015-2016 and was Awarded the Rotary International GOLD Presidential Citation Recipient Club. He has also serve in the following Club Offices: Membership Chair, Secretary, Foundation Chair. His a Lifetime Charter Member of International Fellowship of Rotarian Educators and Currently has 2 District 5890 appointments: Area Membership Chair and Assistant Governor from the E-Club of Houston.

He is an Inactive Member of the International Press, loves to travel, photography, music, healthy eating, reading, investing and visiting Holy Sites (Churches & Temples) and believes peoples Best Asset are their Hearts!
