The “perfect storm” of multiple, acute, and serious lumbar issues coupled with other on-going health issues caused me to unexpectedly relocate to Assisted Living in Atlanta, GA.   My issues were inoperable, and my body would not tolerate pain pills. The debilitating pain and resulting physical limitations left me 90% disabled.  I lost my independence, my home, most of my possessions, my beloved pets, and my beloved community.  I left my friends, my sister, my cousin, and my mom.  The loss was unbearable at times.  While in my Senior Living residence, no one expected me to ever leave Assisted Living.  I will share my journey to health that has restored me to 10% disability.   I earned the title of “Miracle Kid” in Atlanta!
